On October 12th I will be running the Chicago Marathon with Safe Humane, an organization that gives animals a second chance at life.
This incredible organization rescues abused and abandoned animals, helps them heal, and connects them with loving homes. They also work to create safer more compassionate communities through education and advocacy.
As a dog mom and someone who deeply loves animals, this mission hits home. I can’t imagine life without the love and joy they bring and I want every mile I run to give back to them.
