May 9th I’m poppin’ up at @mayflowerbrew ‘s Spring Fling Market 12pm-4pm! 🍻🌞🌸🛍️ Come hangout, drink a coupla beers and shop around a ton of creative local vendors Working on 15 new pieces to add to the summer collection (LOTS of tie-dye!) First Rift Wave pop-up in the books!!! This collection was built on patience, learning, giddiness… and a chaotic art room strewn with fabric, thread and ink (😅 love you @richie3threes !!!) If you thought I’d show up with just a couple of clothing racks, plastic mismatched hangers and a sign, you CLEARLY don’t know me (lol). I had way too many menty bs, creative epiphanies, thrift trips, breakthroughs, trial and errors, hand-sewing, heat pressing, misprints, ink splatters, and beautiful messy successes to JUST display my pieces on a couple of racks. DUH! From the warmly lit tent covered in tapestries to branded hangers, straw rug, displayed block prints and screens, everything was curated to create an experience and highlight the Rift Wave brand. This first pop-up brought triggered a specific memory from college. My professors would never just let us create something and put it on a classroom table. We were graded on the physical project itself, AND how it was presented. I realized this way of thinking stuck with me when my brain immediately jumped to “how can I create a semi–enclosed, warm, cozy, beachy mini shop to match the visuals on the clothing?” before I had even finished the clothing collection. Thank you to everyone who came and bought something cool! ☺️ I hope you love it forever and ever and I can’t wait to do another pop–up soon! More to come this summer… but I’m gunna take a nap now 😌❤️

Most people go thrifting for clothes in pristine condition that look barely worn. Not me ✨ lmao. I love a piece of clothing that’s got some mileage on it 😏🤌. The more worn-in and faded, the better - For some reason it gives me that vintage, beachy feel that I’m looking for. Sooooo thanks to this ex-Florida tourist for donating their shirt! I love it! 😂🤝

Welcome to the Stu 📸🪄🎨🌞✨🐈‍⬛ Rich and I’s studio is such a special space. This is the first time I’ve had an entire room dedicated to creativity, and it’s a HUGE part of why/how I figured out what I wanted Rift Wave to be. Before Rift Wave, I’d tried countless times to figure out what I wanted to do creatively. Full time, I’m a Creative Director which means lots of time on the ole laptop. I still love doing logos and graphic design as a freelancer but having this space has made me realize I want to make physical items and move away from the screen. It’s given me the space to experiment with printmaking, tie-dye, upcycling, heat pressing, linocuts, sewing, and screen printing - All things I’d never imagined trying before moving into this apartment. So, enjoy this look into my little creative corner. Everything I make starts at my art table that I’ve had since high school that finally has a permanent home in this dreamy lil’ nook. 🏠🎨 Shirts pictured go live this Sunday on my website! ❤️‍🔥

No better feeling than rescuing a Savers item from dying boring… this crew needed some TLC real bad, and that’s what she got. 😎✨ Learning how to sew has been a LIFESAVER. If you’re learning, check out @korn.upcycled ‘s YouTube shorts on hand sewing. The way she explains everything makes 1000% more sense than any other videos I’ve watched lol. This crew is going to be included in my drop at the end of the week! 😊

The sun screen is BACK! Feel like I haven’t used this one in a while. I really like how this mirrored effect turned out… definitely will be doing more of these. 🌀🌞🤩 The goal is to make thrifted pieces I find way cooler so that someone will enjoy wearing it again.
