🇲🇹 L-iskop ewlieni ta’ din l-inizjattiva kien li nagħtu spazju lit-tfal sabiex jesprimu ruħhom u jirriflettu, flimkien ma’ tfal oħra tamparhom jew mal-familja, fuq il-valuri li jsawru relazzjonijiet b’saħħithom u sikuri. Permezz tal-parteċipazzjoni tagħhom, dawn it-tfal ħadu l-irwol ta’ ambaxxaturi kontra l-vjolenza u qasmu l-ideat u l-viżjoni tagħhom għal soċjetà mingħajr vjolenza.
🇬🇧 The main aim of this initiative was to give children a space to express and reflect, together with peers or family, on the values that make relationships healthy and safe. Through their participation, they took on the role of ambassadors against violence and shared their ideas and vision for a society free from violence.

Two key documents, recently published by the Human Rights Directorate, were presented to the Malta National Libraries and will be available at the Central and Regional libraries, continuing the Directorate’s work to document and make its works accessible.
The publications were presented by Hon. Rebecca Buttigieg, Parliamentary Secretary for Equality and Reforms, to Ms Cheryl Falzon, Chief Executive Officer of Malta Libraries in the presence of Permanent Secretary OPM-ES, Carlos Tabone and HRD’s top management. The presentation ensures these works are preserved in the national collection and made accessible to the public, researchers, and future generations.
The first publication marks the 10th anniversary of the Human Rights Directorate, documenting a decade of progress, milestones, and policy development in the field of human rights and equality. The commemorative publication reflects on the Directorate’s evolution, its legislative and policy achievements, and its role in strengthening human rights protections in Malta.
The second publication is a Glossary on LGBTIQ+ terminology, published in both Maltese and English. Its bilingual format makes it a unique tool, aimed at promoting respectful, accurate, and inclusive language across public services, education, media, and wider society. By offering standardised terminology in both languages, the glossary supports greater understanding while ensuring linguistic accessibility within the Maltese context.
