This project though 🤩🤩 …seriously it started with my clients wanting a hot tub to hang out in when they wanted to relax. Then it turned into let’s build a pool while we’re at it. Then it was well if we’re going to have this it has to be indoors, but we would like it outdoors as well so it feels open. And if it’s open to the outdoors then we definitely need a kitchen. What started with a request for a hot tub had morphed into a project that I am SO proud of.
A year and a half in the making and it was worth all the time, all the stress, all of the problems to fix, and all the laughs in between. We’ve got another happy client in the books and I think I may ask if I can come hang out with them one day 🤪 GO TEAM RD!!!!

As ‘George to the Rescue’ gears up for our 15th season (yep, that’s right: 15‼️🥳) on Saturday, April 13th, we’re celebrating with a look back at all the unforgettable renovations we’ve had the honor of being a part of, the lifelong friendships we’ve made along the way, and priceless behind-the-scenes memories we’ll always carry with us.
And helping us kick off our journey down GTTR memory lane is interior designer Chasity Centeno (@riesedesign ), who has been a part of 🔟 rescues on the show, including a jaw-dropping kitchen for the Simms family, colorful new headquarters for @brittanysbaskets , and personalized bedroom makeovers for local educator Denise Hayden and her son Joe. Watch as Chasity recounts her favorite memory on set — which involved some good-natured bleeping 😅🙈 — and shares a sweet message for @georgeoliphant and crew!
Many thanks to Chasity and her team for always bringing their A game to each project and helping make a difference in the lives of many wonderful families! 💙

Come with me on a journey…
I was a 26 year old kid myself when I had my son. I remember being scared not knowing what to do and I would put my hand on his tummy while he was sleeping in his bassinet just to make sure he was breathing. 17months later I had my daughter. And I was just figuring out how to balance everything life was throwing at me while navigating newborn acid reflux, crying, crying and more crying.
While Gavin and Gaby were growing up, so was I. I had no plan, I had no purpose, I had absolutely nothing to offer them but all of my effort and all of my love, however flawed all of it was and still is. Nobody prepares you for all of the ups and downs life and motherhood bring. The one thing I can say is that it is so hard…yet the biggest blessing and gift you can ever receive. Not only did God assign them to me, He assigned me to them. To pick me up on days I am sad, to cheer me on when I need encouragement, to make me laugh and remind me what it’s like to be a kid again.
Good, bad, ugly, indifferent…on the special days, the milestones, the holidays, and the boring everyday days that blend into one another (these are the days where the magic happens, where God does His greatest work, when no one is watching or noticing)…all of these days are treasures stored up in my heart.
Raising kids is not for the faint of heart. It takes strength, resilience, softness, firmness, thick skin, a tender heart and everything in between that you never knew you had to give. Times change, seasons change and as my two nuggets get older I have to come to terms with the fact that soon they will be living their own lives making their own memories. But the one thing that will remain the same no matter what season we are in is knowing having Gavin and Gaby as my son and daughter is and will always be my greatest joy, my greatest honor, and my love will never ever change.
Thank you Jesus, for trusting me with them. And thank you, Gavin & Nena (iykyk)…for making me a mom, loving me, letting me mess up sometimes and still forgiving me when I fall short. Thank you for letting me be your biggest cheerleader. I will always scream the loudest for you. I love you guys ❤️❤️
Sometimes a home makeover needs more than breathtaking design. It also needs some literal muscle. 💪😅
While wrapping up a renovation project for the Zaki family after a devastating fire destroyed their home, host George Oliphant and lead designer Chasity Centeno were faced with an unexpected challenge: they needed to place a rug under a super heavy bed that had already been assembled.
Right on cue, however, one of the cameramen — @kylelivesalone — stepped out from behind the lens and saved the day with nothing more than his willingness to help and his biceps. Here’s to a healthy sense of humor and an all-hands-on-deck effort to help bring the loving Zaki family home back to life. Teamwork truly makes the dream work! #behindthescenes #homedesign #explorepage

After unimaginable loss, the Zaki family’s journey home is a reminder of just how powerful resilience — and community — can be. 💙
When a Thanksgiving fire in 2024 left their house unrecognizable, they faced the painful reality of starting over from nothing. However, over the tough years that followed, they rebuilt not just walls and rooms, but hope as well. And now? They finally get to return home.
In this special ‘George to the Rescue’ moment, we had the privilege of surprising them with a thoughtfully designed space to help turn their rebuilt house into warm and welcoming space filled with heart. And seeing their reaction to their lively new abode says everything: joy, gratitude, and relief all at once. After everything they’ve been through, they’re home again.
A huge thank you to the amazing Riese Design team led by Chasity Centeno for bringing so much care and intention to this transformation — and to @joecoffeecompany for being part of this meaningful surprise along the way. 🏡 #community #nyc #explorepage #homesweethome
Set your reminders!!! THIS SATURDAY… Another @george2rescue will be airing @9 :30am on NBC. We are so excited to share this story with you and welcome this deserving family into their new home!
