What’s a bookish trend that you’re surprised you’re enjoying? 👀 Listen, back in the day I was Team Edward. That meant I developed an aversion to wolves just by the fact I didn’t want THAT wolf to be endgame 😂 but as time’s gone on I do find myself loving wolves in fantasy these days! The Green Creek series is one of my faves! P. S. Still Team Edward #fantasy #bookstack #bookstagram #fantasybooks #wolfsong

The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig was one of my favourite 2025 reads! That didn’t really come as a shock to me, because The Shepherd King duology is one I couldn’t put down, but my gosh did The Knight and the Moth defy all my expectations. I expected gothic, I expected romantic, it delivered on that and so much extra. If you haven’t read this one yet, I think it has such a unique plot line! The magic is different to anything I’ve read before and it has side characters that will consume you. I’m so excited for book two to release (and it’s coming during my birthday month no less!) to see how this story ends! #fantasy #gothic #theknightandthemoth #rachelgillig #theknaveandthemoon

What are you currently reading? 💙✨🗡️ I’ve not long started Fury Bound by Sable Sorensen, I’m so glad to be back in this world! Absolutely living for it so far. I was so lucky to host an Afternoon Tea with the authors last weekend. Meeting them in person was SO lovely, but also getting to see other readers meet them for the first time too and tell them how much they adore their books? Next level 😭 #direbound #furybound #sablesorensen #fantasy #romantasy

Who is your all time fave romance author? I am a Chloe Liese stan through and THROUGH! I’ll read anything written by Chloe Liese. I find her stories to be so comforting, so raw and real. I found myself in so many Chloe Liese characters, and when Happy Ending was announced I was made giddy by the fact we were getting another book. I didn’t even particularly need to know much about it to be excited, at this point I trust Chloe Liese so wholeheartedly to deliver me a story I’ll love that all I had was faith and a release date! Happy Ending differs to a lot of romance stories. It opens with heartbreak, anger and loss. That’s not a common theme in romance, but it’s real. Thea and Alex are both newly divorced when they meet and start a friendship. They face internal battles and real life hardships and stay side by side, having something in common because their exes are now together. They’re inherently linked through that and learn how to navigate a life different to the one they’d planned when they said their ‘I do’s’. Unconventional for romance, but so real for lots of people. It made me smile, laugh and cry! But, I knew Chloe Liese wouldn’t disappoint. 🥺 Thank you @evermorebooksuk for my review copy! #happyending #chloeliese #romance #bookish #bookstagram

What’s a book you’ve read with an interesting magic system? I really liked how magic was powered in Silvercloak! They basically have a magic well that’s filled with either pain or pleasure to power the magic. I always think it’s interesting when magic has a cost, definitely heightens the stakes! #silvercloak #fantasy #bookish #shelfie #bookstagram

What are you planning on reading next? I’ve fallen behind with current releases which PAINS me because I’m absolutely itching to get to Fury Bound. It’ll be my next read once I tick off the books I’ve got on the go at the moment. #direbound #furybound #sablesorensen #fantasy #romantasy

What’s that? Oh, just another TJ Klune book that’ll make you cry 😭 TJ Klune books usually have a way of making me sad but feel hope, this one… maybe not so much. It’s an apocalyptic dystopia where a married couple venture on a road trip, one final mission before the world meets its end. We don’t know until the very end what their reason for travelling is, just that it’s important them. It had me guessing what could be so important to up and leave their home, despite government advice not to travel. For such a short book (under 200 pages). It packs in a LOT. Backstory, present day, the multiple characters Don and Rodney meet along the way, a plethora of feelings and more. We Burned So Bright is really gripping and moving, one that kicks you in the feels! Thank you @torbooksuk and @blackcrow_pr for my review copy 🥺 #fantasy #scifi #dystopia #tjklune #weburnedsobright
