Hi! I’ll be doing a demonstration tomorrow at the Andrew Robinson homestead in St. George Maine as part of the trades in St. George event put on by the St. George historical society. There will be other trades people there as well and an open house for the homestead. I’ll be under the old apple tree

Hi! A successful installation today at the new St. George school CTE (career technical education) maker space. A huge undertaking by Michael Felton to bring the trades back into the school for ages K-8. The commission was to create a welcoming piece of art that represents what skills will be taught in the new space and furthermore making the installation with the skills that will be taught there! The pieces were a collaboration between Karen Cushman, Breanna Cushman and myself. Karen on graphic design, Breanna drew the panels to scale for which I did the metalwork and Breanna also painted the backgrounds. It was a joy to collaborate with members of the community for a building that is for the community 💫⚒️☺️
Hi! I’m excited to share that the sauna I’ve been building is finally usable 🥳🥳🥳 Since it’s inception 3 years ago it’s been quite the project from cutting and milling all the trees for all the lumber (minus the floor and door) to making the stove and all the hardware and of course mixing all the mortar and stacking all the logs. It’s been a very educational and rewarding experience bringing this vision to fruition and I hope it provides warmth for generations to come🔥⚒️❄️💫🪵🤗
