This gown tells a story of where I began and the values that continue to guide me.
The deep blue reminds me of my island roots in Baysong, in Padre Burgos, Quezon Province. It’s reminiscent of starlight dancing on the ocean waves, where my childhood taught me resilience, hope, and the beauty of simplicity.
The yellow represents the warmth and optimism I bring wherever I go. I’ve always believed in seeing the good in people and in life - a reflection of the Filipino value of kabutihang loob, a heart that chooses kindness, generosity, and hope.
Wearing this masterpiece by @leoalmodal was truly surreal - I’m deeply grateful 🥹✨ Thank you @rickvsotelo for making this happen 🙏
