One of our favorite parts of our #moderntudor project is this spiral staircase. We were limited on space and knew we wanted a two-story ADU but couldn’t fit a staircase without compromising other aspects of the first floor that we wanted to incorporate (kitchen/seating area). We came up with the spiral staircase and it fit perfectly but then we struggled to find someone to build it for us. Through our contractor we were able to find someone in Idaho that happened to have a spiral staircase like this on his bucket list. We still can’t believe how amazing it turned out!

We mean it when we say we really used every square inch of this space to make it functional for our clients. We added an outdoor fireplace and additional seating in this side yard - a space that often goes unused.

We feel so lucky to get to be a part of this home’s journey with three homeowners now. From designing the home to landscaping to now assisting in furnishing it for the second time - it has been so fun to watch this project come to life and evolve over time.
