Ma was an arts major in college. She snapped this self-portrait for her photography class in the side-view of Poppy’s new F150. 17 years later he’d let me shift gears from the middle of the bench seat while I giggled my way through his CCR cassette tape (I thought John Fogherty’s voice was funny) and 38 years later I’d find this picture on thanksgiving and hang it in my room.
