Four is a party, and @honeybutterchi is bringing the party to Xoco!! For our next tlayuda drop, we have collaborated with THEE Honey Butter Fried Chicken to bring you the Candied Jalapeño Fried Chicken Tlayuda: a tlayuda for the ages. Covered in fried chicken, candied jalapeños, lime crema, and a candied jalapeño mayo…you might want to run to Xoco to claim your tlayuda, NOW.

It was a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration at our house! With the aid of @russanddaughters delivery through @goldbelly ,the two guys were able to surprise the two mothers with their favorite New York breakfast—bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, creamy herring! Because everyone knows that my wife has always chosen the flowers for our restaurant, she was showered with beautiful flowers all day!

We’re thrilled to be kicking off our countdown to Aspen Ideas: Climate 2026 with the first sneak peek at our speaker lineup! 📣 💡 Al Roker, NBC TODAY’s Co-Host, will explore “Climate Weirding,” the latest descriptor for the increasingly disruptive weather patterns that are re-defining the new normal. 💡 Actor and comedian Rainn Wilson will share why finding a spiritual connection with nature is essential to, quite literally, ground us in the work. 💡 As the nation marks its 250th, long-time advocate of nonpartisan environmental conservation, Benji Backer will offer a vision of what the next 250 can look like if we can continue to find moments to touch grass. 💡 Former NASA climate scientist Kate Marvel will talk all things space, climate modeling, and the ever important role of science and innovation. 💡 As leader of the Obama Foundation, Valerie Jarrett will examine trust in institutions and chart a path forward for the climate movement that depends on them. 💡 Beloved meteorologist Tom Skilling will offer a forecast on the state of the science and the essential role of meteorologists as trusted messengers. 💡 Elizabeth Dunn, researcher of happiness, will flip the script on climate advice that demands self-denial and instead offer a solution set that makes you joyful. 💡 Robinson Meyer of Heatmap will bring his observations around the energy transition to conversations on breakthroughs in storage, and the future of the grid and our power system. 💡 Award-winning chef Rick Bayless will take part in a conversation on food as medicine for people and the planet. This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we continue to announce more speakers in the weeks ahead. Join us this July 20-22!

A súper SÚPER happy birthday to my daughter, Lanie! We surprised her with an at-home celebration of sushi and hand rolls from @norikochicago . If you are looking for a luxurious take out experience, look no further. THE BEST. And the cake I made: vanilla buttermilk w chocolate-tahini buttercream and crumble halva.

We’re moving items out of the greenhouse and into the sunshine, but thought we’d give you a look inside before the transition. 😁

A recap and a huge THANK YOU to Chicago Chefs Cook for our participation and helping us raise enough money to add another grant to the Frontera Farmer Foundation. The addition of a grant means that Chicagoland family farm will receive what they need to become more productive and provide Chicago farmer’s markets and chefs with more local products. Thank you for your continued investment in the future of regenerative agriculture! 🌱

Rick Bayless 2/2: After Frontera Grill’s smashing success, in 1989, Rick Bayless opened Topolobampo right next door! Focused on contemporary and creative Mexican cuisine, it became the first Mexican fine dining restaurant in the US! And when Michelin came to Chicago in 2010, Topolobampo won a star, an honor it still holds to this day! #chicago #food #foodie #foodblogger #michelin
