LIFE IS SHORT, I QUIT MY JOB! Leaning in hard on the week of my 30th birthday by leaving the corporate world to finally make my side quest my main quest — I’m going photo full time, for as long as I can hold on!
As scary as it was to make the jump, in an age of AI slop, I’m intentionally choosing to make something organic for myself. When I look back at this decision later, I know I won’t regret choosing to bet on myself and letting go of any expectations of what my life is “supposed” to look like. I’m keeping the power knowing that I made it happen myself instead of having a decision made for me.

24 hours in Paris, watching friends run London, a week of work, and punching above my weight every step of the way. A little #croissantent and the first two shots were fortuitous timing with Seattle 📸 legend @richnotdick being in Paris!
“After returning our rental car, we got fined for having "excessive dirt". This stuck with me though: excessive dirt. I will admit, dirt was everywhere; after all, we bring the dirt from the desert and the dirt that we carry within us.
I carry the dirt that accumulated in my camera bag and the dirt from running through the sand.
I carry the dirt from our friend who no longer gets to run. His dirt sits heavy in my pocket and I hope it never washes away.
We clean our teeth but keep the grit with us for the next time we need it.
In the end, we contested the fine, washing away the charge, but if we look under the floormats, we just might find a little more dirt from places unexpected.”
