It's so easy to focus on where you haven't got to yet, rather than where you have come from. The journey IS the story.
Tonight @kings.church.e.s we're recording 9 original songs. That's an incredible destination, but it was the journey that created those songs in the first place.
In 2016, I wrote these lyrics in a song called "Believe";
"Don't you think it's time to risk failing 'cos we tried?" &
"The valleys are a messenger of hope, the scars that mark the freedom in our bones. The mountains lift our eyes towards the sky, reminding us of what we can't deny"
So tonight we risk failing and we give thanks for the valleys and mountains of life. These songs will be like the altars that Abraham set-up to honour what God did in different periods of his life. They will be reminders of His faithfulness and fuel to keep walking through the valleys and mountains that are yet to come.

The past few months a group of us @kings.church.e.s have been getting together and rehearsing ahead of a live recording for 9 original worship songs that we have been singing together at church.
It's getting to that "okay we are actually doing this!" moment; our anticipation is building and excitement is growing about what God might do through these songs.

I'm so glad that I do everything I can to bring the best I can to whatever I am working on. I'm proud of the work we did over those days and to then find out the first track released is with these people is honestly mind-blowing.
