đ¨BIG NEWSđ¨
And just like thatâŚthe teacher becomes the student!
I canât wait to bring Do The Thing to all the women who know they have a big, creative idea they want to bring to life. Whether itâs a book, a podcast, a program, a stage talk, or an entire businessâwe need your creativity!
Big thanks to my agent @wendysherman and @wsa_literary ! Huge thanks to @krishantrotman and @legacylitbooks@hachetteus who saw this vision even before I did. So grateful to you!
To my writing pal @samkelly_world and my incredible editor @pallindrome41 âcouldnât do it without you!
Letâs do the thing! (See what I did there?!)
Come with me as I finish edits for my upcoming book DO THE THING (Hachette, April 13, 2027). Thank you to @wallstreet.hotelnyc for being my home away from home while I tuck away for deep focus. The guest services and care were đŻ.
#not an ad, I paid for my room. Just blown away by the details and care.
If youâve been carrying something in your business that you havenât quite said out loud yet, youâre not alone!
An idea that feels too big.
A decision you keep circling.
Something you KNOW matters, but havenât had the space to really work through it.
Thatâs what this is for. đ¤
This isnât a room where you sit and listen.
Itâs a room where you bring whatâs real, talk it through with other thoughtful women, and start to see it more clearly.
Iâve spent over 20 years designing spaces where people open up and ideas deepen, first as a professor and district leader, and now as the founder of an EdTech platform and two nonprofits. That attention to what actually helps people move forward is at the center of everything I create.
And inside that space, @richellefredson will be with us, bringing her expertise as a book and creative development coach who has helped bestselling authors and entrepreneurs shape their ideas into real, impactful work. She has a way of listening and asking the question that unlocks whatâs next. đ
June 1â2 in Philadelphia.
If this feels like what youâve been needing, you can join us through the link in my bio.
If youâve ever finished a long week of running your own business and thought âI love this, but no one in my life fully gets what Iâm doing, and it feels like a lot to handle on my ownâ â this is for you.
On June 1â2, Iâm co-facilitating an intimate gathering in Philadelphia called Strong Start (to Summer) with Melanie Obitz, the founder of SoloprenHER (and former Book Proposal Blueprint member!) for 15-20 women who are building their own business, developing their own products, and dreaming into something BIGGER.
Hereâs what itâs not: rows of chairs and a keynote. Awkward speed-networking. Anyone trying to sell you anything.
Hereâs what it is:Â
Honest conversation with women who understand what it takes to build something of your own. Time and space to think out loud about what youâre actually working through. Real food, real talk, real progress on what matters to you.
Youâll name the idea thatâs felt too big or unclear, work through it with other women solopreneurs, and see what comes next!
A bit about whoâs leading the room. Melanie has spent 20+ years designing spaces where people open up and ideas deepen â first as a professor and district leader, then as the founder of an EdTech platform and two nonprofits. Sheâs exceptionally good at this work, and youâll feel it the moment you walk in.
Iâll be there as your co-facilitator! Iâm a book and creative development coach helping women mold their ideas and IP into sellable products. My job here is to help you move something forward youâve been carrying around in your head.
The price covers the bells and whistles â welcome reception, breakfast, lunch, the works. No stale sandwiches, no scrambling for a coffee shop between sessions. Thank God.
Youâd fit if:
* You take your work seriously, lead with care, and want to expand your vision
* Youâd rather have one real conversation than ten surface-level ones
* Youâve felt the loneliness that comes with running your own thing
* You want to be around women who are rooting for each other

Your Strong Start (to Summer)
Philadelphia | June 1â2
This is an intentionally small, in-person gathering for women building their businesses who are tired of doing it alone and ready to be alongside other good-hearted solopreneurs.
Not a conference.
Not a networking event.
This is a thoughtfully designed space to bring your ideas into the open and work through them with other women who get it.
@richellefredson and I will be facilitating the conversations.
If youâve been carrying a decision, an idea, or a next step on your own, this is the kind of room where that will shift.
Details are in the link in bio.
Feel free to comment your questions or DM me!
What if writing a book isnât just about getting publishedâŚ
but about becoming the person whoâs willing to be read?
In Episode 119 of How to Trust Yourself, Iâm joined by Richelle Fredson â book proposal coach, former Director of Publicity & Marketing at Hay House, and someone who has helped thousands of authors turn their ideas into real, publishable books.
With 20+ years inside the industry, Richelle brings something rare:
clarity and honesty about what it actually takes to go from idea â proposal â book deal.
But this conversation goes far beyond publishing.
Itâs about visibility. Identity. Confidence.
And what happens inside you when you decide your voice belongs on the page.
⨠In this episode, we explore:
⢠Why the belief that âthere are already enough booksâ keeps people silent
⢠The real fears aspiring authors face â and how to move through them
⢠How the publishing industry actually works (and what most people get wrong)
⢠Why a book proposal is really a clarity document
⢠The identity shift that happens as you write
⢠How visibility wounds show up in the writing process
⢠Why writing a book is as much about personal evolution as it is about craft
Whether youâre already writing, secretly dreaming, or just curious, this episode offers both the strategy and the soul of bringing a book to life.

Your voice isnât redundant.
Itâs needed.
Just to be clear, I smoke zero cigarettes each day, but in recent conversation with former Book Proposal Blueprint student, @drsylviak , she shares that loneliness is such a silent epidemic that itâs actually bad for our physical health. Equal to 15 cigarettes a day.
Deep sigh.
In a world where weâre overly connected to technology, which should, in theory, make community stronger, we are actually the loneliest weâve ever been.
Let me back it up a bit. Dr. Sylvia was a Book Proposal Blueprint student of mine several years ago. About to leave a hospital therapeutic practice, she was in that âwhatâs nextâ moment we all find ourselves in at one point or another.
So she began to listen.
Listen deeply for themes coming up in her patients. From youth to folks in their golden years, much of what her patients were struggling with could be reduced down to disconnection, abandonment and loneliness. She raised deep and uncomfortable questions about loneliness with parents at childrenâs birthday parties, and everywhere she went.
And there she had her next call to service.
She joined my program and we developed the book that hits shelves TODAY! Lonely AF: A Therapistâs No BS Guide to Feeling Less Alone (Wiley)
Book Proposal Blueprint launch days always hold a special place in my heartâoften because folks come into my program knowing that perhaps their business is young, or their idea isnât quite there yet, they donât have the same connections as some of their peers, and their platform isâŚwellâŚâgetting thereâ. đ
But like Dr. Sylvia, they feel called to something bigger. They know their story and experiences mean something, and theyâre going to fight like hell to get this book out there. And so we do.
And she did it. (and by the way, so can you!)
Join Dr. Sylvia and me on this weekâs episode of Bound & Determined, where we deep dive into her process for real connection, and she breaks down the journey of bringing this incredible book to life.
Xx
Richelle
P.S. Iâm hosting a free webinar alongside Farnoosh Torabi on March 26! Grab your seat for How to Get a Book Deal! Link in bio!
Happy Launch Day @drsylviak !!!!
Youâre not alone in feeling lonelyâlearn to break the cycle of disconnection and build meaningful relationships with yourself and others.
Lonely AF is about understanding why so many of us struggle with feeling aloneâand what we can do about it. In this book, trauma-informed therapist Dr. Sylvia Kalicinski dives into the real and raw feelings of loneliness that she knows all too well. As a first-generation American born to Polish immigrant parents, she experienced emotional loneliness early in life. Her mother passed away when she was just two years old. By high school, she was living alone while her father, who struggled with alcohol, worked overseas. Years later, she would face a new kind of loneliness in adulthood, navigating the storm of postpartum rage after the birth of her son.
These lived experiences, combined with years of clinical expertise, shaped her no-fluff, deeply compassionate approach to emotional healing.
Following Dr. Kalicinskiâs HEART Method, Lonely AF will help you:
Break the cycle of emotional disconnection and create meaningful, secure relationships with othersâand yourself
Learn practical tools to create authentic connections and heal from past emotional pain
Redefine your identity by separating from old narratives and embracing personal transformation
Feel supported and less alone with heartfelt reflections from Dr. Kalicinskiâs personal journey and client case studies
With warmth and wisdom, Dr. Kalicinski offers a path forward to emotional healingâone that helps you confront loneliness without shame and build the authentic relationships you deserve.
