Batman (1989) In Concert - UK Tour 🦇🎶
I've had the most wonderful few weeks playing Oboe 2 and Conducting on this tour, surrounded by incredible people who were so so so supportive of my professional conducting debuts in Manchester and Glasgow (with only 36 hours notice)
Huge shout outs go to Team Oboe - @lottieb11@katherineoboe@mariarojasoboe@oboeemily ✨️ we smashed it!

September was so busy that I forgot to take any photos of anything. Probably a good thing to not be so conscious of having an online presence.
If I spent time with you this month, know that I enjoyed every second of it 🥂✨️ the hardest teaching month is over!
August 2025 - guess what my favourite outfit was across the month without even realising... 🤭
Beautiful playing opportunities, excellent friendo times, yummy food, etc.
Summer holidays done correctly ✅️
July '25 has been unbelievably manic, but it's been filled with some beautiful core memories ✨️
Particular shout out to the incomparable @maevecomposer , who has put up with me for TEN YEARS under many different roofs - without this one, I wouldn't be anywhere near the person I am today. Peter Pan and Wendy have finally grown up 💚
"Do we still need Pride in 2025?"
- Pride continues to be a platform for advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights, challenging discriminatory laws and practices.
- Pride is also a chance to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQIA+ rights movement, acknowledging the sacrifices and struggles of those who paved the way for current progress.
- And yet, despite said progress, queer individuals still face significant issues in various aspects of life, including healthcare, employment, and housing, and not only in this country, but everywhere across the world. Not to mention that, as of 2024, there are still 64 countries that criminilise homosexuality and some countries still punish this uncontrollable birth trait by death.
- Pride events and the sense of community they foster can have a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of queer individuals, providing a space for self-acceptance and support.
So yes, Pride is just as important now as it was when it started in the UK on the 1st July, 1972, 53 years ago to this date.
Here are some music recommendations by queer folk:
Janelle Monáe, Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Dove Cameron, Reneé Rapp, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Aaron Copland, Pauline Oliveros, Zolita, and Dusty Springfield
Love you all 🏳️🌈🎶
