been working on some spray paint over clay recently. i used multiple colors and did multiple layers and did not wait for them to dry in between resulting in this cracking texture. i used a piece of checkered cloth that had cut outs in it to create the orange pattern. 🏁🍊
hey it’s me again. back with some more test tiles yes sir... so here we have a nice lil chain with red and yellow underglaze under a thick layer of clear glaze yes she’s cracking a bit it’s ok. the dark red is my first attempt at china paint... idk i might not have cleaned the surface well enough even though i wiped it with an alcohol wipe. i might not have let it dry enough before starting to apply the china paint i was very eager! anyways.... that was the first layer and i just added another layer of china paint to it so we’ll see that tomorrow and i’ll post the results :0 i used the shade “violet of iron” ♥️ #ceramics #chinapaint #glaze #glazetest #overglaze #pottery
majolica test tile! making some coasters out of my test tiles, here is the first one. overall good application but i just kinda poured the excess majolica on top that was pretty watery giving me some cracking and wrinkling. all in a days work at the test tile factory
have some delicious glazes in the works i made them all from recipes except the blue under glaze... especially loving the coral colors, those ones i mixed mason stains together to get specially customized colors! came out exactly as i wanted and i love the texture!
