“I was a teenage Mod. At the age of 14 my life changed forever when I discovered soul music, records and modernism.
The missing part of my puzzle was put in place and before the year was out I played my first DJ set with a box of about 20 45s in Southend On Sea.
At 17 I was DJing in London for the New Untouchables, at 18 I started to promote my own club nights.
Fast forward to now and although my tastes have changed I still collect with the same passion and excitement I had when everything was brand new.
I currently host Rumors a Modern Soul focused event in London. I am excited to have the chance to dig through the old boxes and pull out a selection of proper hard mod dance sounds for Tickety Boo.”
