I don’t talk much… and I definitely don’t like to do interviews. But this year, I’m stepping into the uncomfortable.
I had the opportunity to be part of the “Fatherhood in Entertainment & Arts” panel, and it gave me the chance to speak on something I truly love… and someone I love even more.
Major shoutout to Justin Hart for the vision. What he’s building is powerful—created from scratch and already receiving Emmy nominations. That’s incredible, bro. This is needed in our community.
It was also dope reconnecting with some solid brothers along the way. Jammond—my college brother. Tyke T—we’ve shared the stage together. And finally connecting with JS Tate, even though we’ve been in the same spaces for a minute.
And salute to the host, Chima—man, you guided that conversation with excellence.
Most importantly… I got to talk about my Bella. That alone made it all worth it.

I have to say it’s always a pleasure and an honor when someone recognizes the work you do and wants to celebrate it. I’m forever grateful for moments like this… but this one really takes the cake.
Being honored is already a blessing, but to be honored at the same event as my wife is something I truly didn’t expect. Watching Beonka walk in her purpose, serve our community, and impact so many people inspires me every day. To see both of our efforts recognized at the same time is honestly humbling.
