This 🌙&⭐ momento capsule set was such a joy to create. So much sentimental symbolism! From Moon being a term of endearment to the birthstone of their dear daughter, it's already so sweet! But my favorite part will always be the little secret encased within the moon. A little bit of sand from the shores of lake Michigan, where they had their wedding ceremony.
These pendants were hand carved, cased, lasered and soldered together. Then carefully filled with sand and finally lasered shut. The little star has the tiniest and flashiest little opal set in its center.

Momento capsules are hollow pendants filled with sentimental moments in time, and then forever sealed. Allowing you to wear and keep that memory with you always. These two in particular hold precious sand, collected from wedding ceremony sites. One from Lake Michigan, and the other soon to be filled with sand from Yosemite.

I made this gold and green tourmaline geometric ring almost a year ago. During the final stages of delicate stone setting, the stone was pushed the tiniest bit too far, and cracked almost down the center. There was a moment of disappointment, and a feeling like the ring was ruined.
Over the past few months, I've grown to appreciate how lovely the stone is despite the splinter. And am impressed that the stone is so securely set, with the two sides of the stone supporting each other in the setting.
One day, maybe I'll take it out and reset it with a new stone, but for now I take the lesson in finding the beauty in imperfections.

Three gold pinky signets for the three Hiroto brothers. The rings combined represent the three sorrel leaves found in the Hiroto family crest. Each brother carries one of the leaves. What a way to honor their family name while staying close to each brother! ❤️✨

I love this photo, it really shows the contrast between the maker and the product. For all its sparkle, the making of jewelry is anything but glamorous. It's often tedious, ugly, and clearly very dirty. Right up until the very end, that final polish. That's one of my favorite things about it, it's such a labor of love.
This particular piece is extremely sentimental to me, and won't be fully completed until almost a year from now. But as always, it's so important to take a moment and appreciate the process. 💖
