There are loves that only exist
because they cannot exist
anywhere else.
We knew from the beginning.
The earth knew. The roots knew.
The air knew.
The air we breathed together
that slowly
made us its own.
Everything here grows where it shouldn’t.
Perhaps that is the only direction there is.
What came was fear.
What stayed was not.
A love born condemned
and because of that
so entirely ours.
Only ours.
We counted the days from the beginning.
Knowing that in the end it would all be nothing.
We loved it anyway.
And yet. And yet.

Están siempre comiendo.
Un elefante asiático come entre 100 y 150 kg diarios.
Aquí no trabajan para ganarse esa comida, descansan, están protegidos.
Se percibe una conexión especial con sus cuidadores de la tribu Karen, que según nos contaron, han convivido con elefantes durante generaciones.
El elefante pequeño era muy “cute”.
Él es Josep Pellicer.
Probablemente esté entre las personas que más saben en el mundo sobre cómo diseñar y fabricar gafas.
Minucioso, exigente, y con una necesidad casi instintiva de ir más allá, de encontrar lo nuevo.
Su forma de ser te marca, quieras o no.
Tuve la suerte de fotografiarlo con la ayuda de @cescllinares como parte del proyecto de identidad de la colección “Pellicer” dentro de @etniabarcelona .
Una colección ambiciosa que recoge su nombre y su forma de entender el diseño de gafas.
