This one began nearly two years ago and now we finally get to share it! 🥹 Chulo became a love letter deeply personal to me, reminiscent of queer films that have inspired me and of those brief but deep connections with strangers that stay with you forever. 💌 Thank you @joshuaalfredohernandez for trusting us with this beautiful passion project. I’ve been talking in public since I was very young. I’ve had many opportunities to engage with so many audiences about so many different things. I still get nervous. Every. Single. Time. I bet a lot of you find talking in public extremely hard. I know it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible. As a filmmaker, knowing how to capture someone’s attention and express my ideas to different audiences is a vital skill I wouldn’t trade off. Many colleagues ask me, “but how do you do it?” Well, I’m finally getting serious about letting you in some of those secrets! I’m doing a four-session workshop on how to pitch. It’s going to be a small group, for a more personalized interaction. We’ll go from the basics of public speaking to actually pitching. You don’t need to be a seasoned professional to join. Maybe you have a project in development? Maybe you got a sales pitch? Maybe you just like movies? This workshop is designed for you to learn by doing. Very limited spaces available. Don’t miss out! ¡Hoy toca celebrar! ✨ #HastaQueLaCeldaNosSepare” ha sido una aventura que comenzó mucho antes que @picaflorentertainment me invitara en el 2019 a desarrollar juntos el largometraje. Conocí el corto cuando todavía era estudiante, lo presenté como parte de Hecho en Europa y dije “quisiera hacer cine así, bien fun”. Todavía no me creo que la versión largometraje estrena hoy en salas de cine con mi nombre como productor. Fueron muchos años trabajando mano a mano con @marianamemmanuelli y @gramirezjuan para desarrollar una apuesta de cine diferente. Desde una oficinita sin luz en Caguas hasta lograr un “rave pop-up motín” en una pizzería (vean la movie 😉), nada nos detuvo de hacer algo divertido y disfrutarnos el proceso. Hoy celebro a todos los que se atrevieron conmigo. 💍 A @samconsusojeras que fue la primera persona en darme el “sí” y entrar a jugar desde el primer borrador hasta el casting; a Jeannice, a Cosme, a Camila, a Shakira, a Tatiana, a Zoribel, a Yare, a Kino, a Patria, a Priscila, a Pati, Ana Paula y muchos otros de tantos que me dijeron sí sin pensarlo dos veces. Gracias por creer en la apuesta, hacerlo sin miedo y liderar sus puestos aunque fuese la primera vez ocupándolos. Creer en ustedes y ver su trabajo en la pantalla es lo más bonito que me llevo de todo esto. Gracias a @gretzamcruz y @andreslopezalicea y todo el cast por ser tan estelar. Gracias a mi equipo de produ y todo el crew que nunca titubeo y siempre dijo presente. Esta película representa un logro colectivo masivo. Estoy agradecido y orgulloso de haber recorrido este camino con cada uno de ustedes. Ojalá estas fotos y videos nos recuerden que más haya de tanto tiempo y sacrificio que nos toma hacer una película en nuestra isla, hacer cine sigue siendo una gran celebración. Que pasarla lindo, tratarnos bien y honrar las lealtades en nuestra comunidad nunca será en vano. ¡Los veo en el cine! 🥹💖

Today marks exactly one year since we started filming #Extranjera (@extranjeramovie ) and I can’t believe how fast time flies! As I am reminded that every project is different, I can’t help but feel so much joy and gratitude for this extraordinary experience. It has shown me love, it has given me the opportunity to grow as a producer, to show my worth, to challenge myself, and to have fun! I am forever grateful to the amazing team that has spearheaded this film and invited me to travel the world to tell stories together. My heart is forever filled with many, many great memories. 🇹🇼❤️
