We Won the Baja 1000!!
To My whole team who absolutely KILLED IT this race, Thank you. You guys are the heart of the team! James thank you for all the help with the car couldn’t have done this without you! To the Mcfayden’s, you guys stepped up and did everything and more of what we ever could have asked for!! Thank you for the knowledge and parts your provided to give us the best chance at winning! Pj jones stepped in and did exactly what he needed to do and kept our car healthy and moving!!
To the Murrays, My Boss Jason thank you for giving me the opportunity in the beginning to learn how to prep cars and giving me a shot when no one else would, and now this season giving me the opportunity to Prep your cars and trusting me to have the ability to do it! And for Derek thanks for making it easy on me, one shot on the alinement all year. 😂 And for our raceday, what can I say. It was a dream come true. Car ran flawless all day long. Jason started our race day at 10:10am on Thursday morning. We had our first pit at rm125.2 and checked over the car and filled it and he was out. We did that all day long. Changed a belt at all 4 driver changes and rear tires at first and last drivers change. Car never stopped once all day long.
For me, As a mechanic this was the biggest accomplishment of my career to this point! We won a Score forced induction CHAMPIONSHIP!! And we won the Baja 1000 to top it off!
Coolest moment for me calling my mom and saying “we just f#%king won the Baja 1000.” Surreal moment for me! I proved to myself and to many others that I am good enough to do this and it is possible to beat the best of the best! 3 years ago I came into this sport with little knowledge, and today we take home a Baja 1000 win and a score championship! Anything you set your mind too is possible!! Thanks to my Girlfriend Alyssa for always supporting me and to my Family for everything!!

This is a hard fought third. Jessy a couple other guys and me Were trying to solve a lingering brake problem all weekend. We finally got it good enough and Jessy barely made it to the start. After that Jessy was second off the line it was pushing right behind Casey Simms. It stayed like that for about a lap and a half until Casey had a mechanical problem. At that point Jessy settled into fast smooth pace. And after that he drove the car and brought her home for 3rd. It’s amazing how much behind-the-scenes work goes into making these races happen. Again I wanna say thanks to the two other guys That helped us out sorry I don’t know your names but thank you. Congratulations @jessynelson79
So My buddy’s birthday is today @jessynelson79 . I thought this would be a good time to show what I’ve been doing for the past year and a half. I’ve spent a good portion of my last year and half with this guy. From worcs races to Mx nationals and anything else you can think of. I’ve learned a lot. Little back ground on Jessy for those who don’t know; Jessy Nelson is an ex pro motorcycle rider racing for the @troyleedesigns 250 team, and let me say he was the baddest dude on two wheels!! In 2016 Jessy had an accident that lead him to 4 wheels and to the @polarisrzr scene. So here is where I come in! I met Jessy at the 2018 @worcsracing world finals. Where that weekend Jessy won the stock class, in return getting him a giant 🏆!! So since I live so close to Jessy I stayed in touch and started helping out with what I could. I learned from Jessy and the Gardner’s and many more, which has now lead me to be able to work on the race car and do almost everything that’s needed. And from the races to the random calls on a Monday saying hey wanna get the car ready and race the short course class at the Parker 250 (had to leave on Thursday) and me going Hell ya! Or the random midnight phone calls when he’s in the garage work on a car, I am forever greatful.
