after nearly five years of building, refining and hoping, the @rewind_app is no longer available to the public
despite plenty of encouragement and curiosity, very few people ever actually used it (or even tried it) — and keeping it running for an audience that didn’t show up just doesn’t make sense
still, no regrets. rewind was made for real life — the kind that doesn’t need likes, filters or followers — a hidden corner of the internet to save and share any and all of life's moments and memories on a private timeline, with no algorithms, adverts or analysis, away from the noise and negativity of socials
maybe the world just isn’t quite ready for solo media... yet
and maybe Facebook and Insta were never the best places to promote an app about privacy and self and meaning
either way, we’re proud of what we made...
