May 5, 1900 🎶 Billboard began as a weekly trade publication and grew into one of music’s most influential voices, known for charts like the Hot 100 and Billboard 200. Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” (1967) became a timeless classic—though it initially saw limited U.S. success. After appearing in Good Morning, Vietnam (1988), it was re-released and reached #32 on the Billboard Hot 100, introducing it to a new generation. Today, artists like Jody Alexander and Ian Malayang continue to reimagine the song, proving that great music evolves while its message endures. 🎶🌍
