I’ve been blogging about theatre and reviewing for 16 years, receiving many press releases and invites every week. Here are a few tips for those promoting plays and musicals on a shoestring to help you, help bloggers write and review your work. Most bloggers, like me, don't earn anything; it's a hobby, something done for love alongside a job. So anything that helps speed up the admin is always welcome. Please share or pass on and visit for the full guide. Are you an online theatre reviewer? What tip would you add? #theatre #lovetheatre

People have asked (well 2 people have) so here’s why I am ‘Rev Stan’, the story behind the name and whether I am a real Reverend... Does your social media name have a story attached? #theatregram #theatre #londontheatre #theatreblogger #lovetheatre #theatrenerd #theatrefan #revstan #theatre2023 #theatrenerds #theatrefans #originstory

Sunday theatre question this week is about theatre habits. Do you buy your tickets when a play or musical is announced or once the reviews are out? (Bonus question: Have your ticket-buying habits changed over time?) Answer in the comments 🎭 Have a great Sunday. #sundaytheatrequestion #sundaytheatre #theatre

About last night…Care at the Young Vic. Having experienced first hand having a parent living in a nursing home and also losing both parents there was a lot that hit home about this play. Safe to say that while it had its funny moments it was an emotional watch. More thoughts soon. Is it on your theatre watch list? #lovetheatre #londontheatre

Sunday theatre question this week is about size. Is a small, intimate theatre better for drama, or does a large auditorium enhance the spectacle? Answer in the comments. Have a great Sunday 🎭 #sundaytheatrequestion #sundaytheatre #theatre

It only seems like yesterday we were up in York watching Krapp’s Last Tape starring Gary Oldman. Different audience, same sublimely subtle performance. And bonus amuse-bouche Godot’s To-do List which was very fitting. Is it on your list? #theatre #londontheatre #samuelbeckett

Last night's theatre: A Brief Play About Rage @omnibustheatre It’s an absurd black comedy about ‘friends’ coming to terms with past events. Will share my thoughts later. What are you seeing next at the theatre? #fringetheatre #londontheatre
