I stopped by Venom Custom Cycleswhen I was in New Port Richey to make sure he came through the Storms OK. Soon As I walked in the door I knew the answers. If yo are from that area and ride stop by have your bike serviced buy your parts, support this wonderfull independent shop. Ask Minh Mai to show you the pictures of the lake that covered his shop. Prayerst for you my friend.

LESSON NUMBER 2! after receiving two new valves all new seals we checked the valve to seat angles put the parts back together and installed the cylinder head on all torqued to Cometic spec. Cam towers fitment ok . Then rocker arm check to make sure the adjuster was centered on the lash cap. All fine on #1&2 cylinders. Number 3 exhaust not even close. So relearning basic assembly procedures. This lesson all on me. I should have taken every valve and spring apart when I saw 1 and 4 bent. So now every valve and spring is out. Every guide is checked for size. Another exhaust valve is on order. From here on out I'll check everything my self. Back to my beginnings. Cylinder heads, engine machine shop and assembly. Lesson 2 learned again! And yes I was stupid enough to install and torque the head again ! I'm still puzzled on how 3 valves get bent with not even a nick on the package or the head.

Saw a post from childhood friend, Tom Elliott. Showed a picture of a "TV dinner" from the 60's. . So in an effort to regain my childhood . Went and bought the only one I could find. What the box shows IS NOT what is inside. So ,now the memory of has been replced with a question. Why oh why would my parents feed me that crap?

Had a little time Fri evening . Started the reassembly process of the Bonneville CB 750. Weight matched all 4 pistons and pins . Set ring end gaps for the new 50/50 cylinder Cycle X supplied. Rings on pistons. Ready for next step. All the rods were matched previously and installed when the super crank was installed. The rotating mass has been reduced by al.ost 11 lbs . Much of that due to elimination of the alt rotor. This one will run total loss electric.
