Found some original prints of Stalwarts Sons while packing up records. Tucked in a test press. This was from our cross Canada tour in 2011 taken in Winnipeg by friend Warren Humeny. This might have been the beginning of my now perpetual moustache. The top one there was in a wild rhubarb patch on an abandoned dock. The dart board photo was used on the back cover of our LP Stay Cold. Babies.

(Almost) all the Mission of Burma related LPs I own.
I'm definitely missing the one Tang one with Peking Spring on it. And I know there's more solo Roger work out there. But a pretty tasty collection...
Cataracta, Jan 2026
Been a minute since I've done some typewriter pieces. I've been going through the archives and reassembling for a new manuscript. But of course, always had to make something new.

The best and most intriguing books I encountered this year. I managed to hit my 52 goal. Probably in these orders, but I don't really believe in ultimate ranks. Few of these are actually new but.. All these are recommended in different ways.

"This is a sigil for inspiration. Writer's block has no hold, the ideas flow freely. May the muse find you when you need her."
In these most recent series of new work since Inherent, I've been feeling the need to really instill meaning into the work. Especially in my most recent songwriting, I've felt the need to become more didactic and message forward. So too, here. And even in a medium of concrete poetics, a medium that is technically word-free, I've been seeking to create poems that are fully message driven. Across the board, personal and societal, a set of poems to address the needs of the now. Here, a series to the creative minded, so often met with discouragement and hardship.
These are a wish to the world, a wish to you as a person. A sigil for inspiration.
New chapbook from No Press. New series using an entire sheet of the typeface Buster. Get at me for one. I've got a few copies, (but some also available from the ever encouraging @derek.a.beaulieu )
