The Reuben Centre for Paediatric Virology and Metagenomics was established in October 2014 at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the UCL Institute of Child Health. Together they now form the largest concentration of children’s health research in Europe. The centre represents a unique opportunity to improve understanding of viral infections and to translate research findings into faster, more personalised treatment for suffering children. Since its establishment, the Reuben centre has provided life-saving treatment in metagenomics- including saving the sight of Ellie, a young doctor in the UK.  Find out more about the Centre’s work and Ellie’s story in the link in bio ⬆️  #reubenfoundation #greatormondstreethospital #ReubenCentreforPaediatricVirologyandMetagenomics #UCLInstituteofChildHealth

The Reuben Young People’s Centre opened in March 2025 following the Reuben Foundation’s multimillion-pound gift in March 2022 to build a new, state-of-the-art centre at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. The facility provides a best-in-class environment where young people can access holistic care regardless of the reason for their hospital visit, with purpose-designed spaces to help staff better support those with mental health needs. Designed in partnership with young people the centre provides immediate, specialist and integrated care for young people in mental health crisis. It is the largest of its kind in London, combining — for the first time — mental and physical care for adolescents in one dedicated environment. The Reuben Foundation has a longstanding relationship with Centrepoint, supporting this charity’s efforts in ending homelessness for young people in the UK. The foundation has been working with the charity to support them in their work to provide homeless young people with not only a safe place to stay in its hostels, but also vital support in tackling physical and mental health issues. The Reuben Foundation was the Headline Sponsor of the Centrepoint at The Palace Gala, held in the presence of HRH The Duke of Cambridge at Kensington Palace, in November 2016. The event raised over £1 million. In 2023 Reuben House was officially opened by The Prince of Wales. Consisting of 33 studio properties in Peckham, Reuben House is the first housing development as part of Centrepoint’s independent living program, which aims at providing hundreds of young people a home and entry level or apprenticeship roles that lead to full time employment across London and Manchester. #centrepoint #reubenfoundation @centrepointuk

Established in 2019, Reuben College is the 39th college at the University of Oxford - the first in over 30 years. The Reuben Foundation’s £80 million gift represents one of the largest endowments in Oxford’s history and supports both the development of the college and a major new graduate scholarship programme. This expands on the foundation’s already well-established support for the University through the Reuben Scholarship Programme. Reuben College brings together researchers working across disciplines to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Its initial research themes include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Environmental Change, Cellular Life and Ethics. “The generosity of the Reuben family will help transform the lives of generations of students and support research that pushes the frontiers of knowledge” - Former Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, Professor Louise Richardson 📷 Photo Credits: 1st picture - John Cairns 2nd picture- Dan Paton You can learn more via the link in our bio or by visiting @reuben_college #reubenfoundation #reubencollege #universityofoxford
