To begin constructing the world of TIDELANDS 2100, weāre starting in deliberate low resolution.
Using real-world topographic data and WorldBuilder, we rendered a 1:1 scale model of Potterās Pond, RI, in Minecraftāa speculative scaffold for the immersive VR environment weāre building this summer.
Minecraft, with its modular logic and collaborative accessibility, becomes more than a game engine here: itās a tool for early-stage spatial thinking. A way to prototype narrative architecture, test ecological logics, and remain porous to iteration.
