Thank you to the Thomas Crane Public Library / @tcplquincy for inviting us to participate at the Community Connections event. Our DevRel Calvin Van spent the afternoon talking with patrons curious about software engineering, and Resilient Coders' full-stack engineering and AI fellowship programs. Also, shout out to Mike Penissi, one of our technical mentors, who stopped by and shared their own experience collaborating with engineering fellows. If you are interested in learning more about our upcoming Full Stack Engineering Fellowship, our next virtual info session is June 4th. RSVP via the link in our bio.

"I would not be where I am today without Resilient Coders. As I continue to advance my career as a Software Developer, I will remain resilient in my role, seeing and welcoming other Black and Brown faces in the tech space." -Alexandra, a Software Development Engineer at Audible and one of the RC alumni highlighted in our 2025 Annual Report. What we’re seeing are real results: AI-enabled Full Stack Engineers stepping into careers that are materially changing their earning power with that impact compounding over time. This report is chance to step inside that work: what we’re teaching, what we’re learning, how we’re adapting, and where we’re headed next. We are continuing to build toward something larger than a training program. We’re building a system that develops, supports, and connects resilient talent with careers that will help shape the industry during this pivotal shift in how work gets done. If you’ve been part of this work, we’re grateful. If you’re just getting to know us, we’d love for you to take a look via the link in our bio.

How is AI changing entry-level hiring? Over the past few years, the tech job market has shifted. Job postings are still ~36% below pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, AI is changing what teams expect from engineers. Entry-level hiring is tighter and expectations are higher. Teams are smaller and employers want engineers who can contribute quickly and work with AI from day one. So we sent out an AI survey, asking hiring partners what’s actually happening. Here are some of the results we saw: 👉🏽 87% of teams are already using AI for coding, debugging, and review 👉🏽 Nearly half changed their tech stack in the last year because of AI 👉🏽 65% expect AI fluency to matter even more in the next 2–3 years That’s why at Resilient Coders, we've evolved to meet this demand. We’re still teaching strong fundamentals, but we’ve built AI directly into how our engineers learn and work. Our goal is to prepare people for the jobs that actually exist now, not the ones that existed a few years ago. See the full results of our AI survey in our Annual Report linked in our bio.

We just released our annual report, and the number that keeps stopping us is not the average starting salary of our employed engineers - it's the trajectory. Year one: $98,000. Year five: $200,032. Year ten: $367,500. While the industry standard for career growth hovers around 3 to 5% annually, RC engineers consistently outpace that through job mobility, specialization, and a capacity to take on higher-impact roles faster than their peers. That acceleration is not accidental. It is the direct result of how we train. From day one on the job, our Fellows bring not just technical fluency but the ability to learn quickly, adapt to shifting environments, build production-grade AI features, read academic research, and operate with professional confidence when going into interviews or negotiating promotions. Our technical training involves working under the pressure of real deadlines and presenting work to CTOs, senior engineers, and the broader tech community before they ever walk into an interview. This foundation sets them up for long-term success. Our engineers are not just getting job, but also becoming the tech professionals that their peers learn from. They return to mentor our next cohorts, speak at conferences, lead AI initiatives at their companies, and reach $125K+ within just a few years, with senior talent surpassing $250K well ahead of a standard 10-year trajectory. And all the while, our community remains a resource for guidance, technical growth, and professional support long after training completion. This is what we built RC to produce.
