Today is my parentsā 53rd wedding anniversary so I thought Iād share the video of when I interviewed my mom and aunt about marriage - what advice they have for it. This was for my friendās wedding video. And the goal was for them to get married. My mom shares her 3 reasons to get married, and my aunt shares 85 reasons to not get married. Happy Motherās Day to all who celebrate. This time last year, I went to lunch with my mom and aunt (and my dad, cousin and her husband). Afterwards, I thought it would be nice to get a sweet video with the two of them, asking what their favorite part of motherhood was. And well. You know the rest. Since we know now how they feel about motherhood, today Iām going to ask them what their perfect Motherās Day includes. It might be a slaughter. Wish me luck.
A special Motherās Day wish to my grandmother who was a second mother to Rohan and me. Wherever she is. Sheās responsible for all of us. Especially the two ladies who sit beside me on that couch.
To all the mothers, to the ones who loved when we were asleep and when we were away, and when we came home. To the ones who didnāt love it, but loved us.

I asked my mom and aunt more questions about if they were treated differently because one of them was considered fair-skinned in India when they were younger. Thereās a lot more to this conversation but hereās part of it. We also talk about colourism in Indiaā¦ and (points all around) everywhere in the world. And yes there used to be a product called Fair & Lovely (I believe itās no longer sold, but not sure!)

I had asked my aunt what was the most daring thing she did, and she tells us one thing that she can talk about. Which means there are stories she canāt talk about?? My mom has 0 reaction to it. Then I confronted them about the bad short haircuts they made us get as kids. And the last clip is my auntās granddaughter suggested we go on the road so I decided to test it out. My auntās choice for a road trip destination is very her.
