안녕하세요, 루입니다.
아주 좋은 작가님을 만나서 영광스러운 첫 전시를 할 수 있게 되었습니다. 영국에서부터 시작되어 서울 이촌동까지 무사하게 도착하게 되었습니다. 시간이 되시는 분들은 찾아와주시면 너무 감사할 것 같습니다. 한 분, 한 분 초대를 못해드려서 죄송합니다, 대신에 오시면 반갑게 맞이하겠습니다. 편하게 오셔도 좋고 메시지 주시고 연락주시면 더 설레게 기다릴게요 :)
한국에서 가장 추운 한파의 겨울에 전시를 열며, 누군가를 따로 초대하는 일에 조금은 조심스러웠습니다. 날씨가 쉽지 않았고, 혹시라도 부담이 되지는 않을지 마음이 쓰였습니다. 그럼에도 한편으로는, 제가 작가님과 함께 정성스럽게 준비한 이 전시를 지인분들께서 직접 와서 천천히 봐 주시기를 조용히 바랐습니다.
전시를 찾아와 주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 한 분 한 분께 따로 감사 인사를 전하고, 식사나 커피를 함께하며 시간을 나누고 싶었지만, 입춘이던 날-봄의 시작을 알리던, 다른 날보다는 따뜻했던 그 날- 다시 영국으로 돌아오게 되면서 모든 것이 조금 급하게 지나가 버렸습니다. 천천히, 차차 연락드리겠습니다.
저는 사람에게 상처를 받아온 시간이 있었지만, 그럼에도 여전히 사람을 믿고 싶고, 믿고 있습니다. 이 전시는 인간이라는 존재의 여러 얼굴을 함께 바라보고, 서로 다른 곳에서 왔더라도 각자의 내면을 나누며 조용한 연대를 이룰 수 있기를 바라는 마음에서 출발했습니다. 많이 부족했지만, 진심을 다해 준비한 시간이었습니다. 이 전시는 제 곁에 함께해 준 얼굴들을 떠올리게 하는 시간이기도 했습니다. 물리적으로 함께하지는 못했지만 말과 마음으로 곁에 있어 준 얼굴들까지 포함해서요. 무엇보다도, 제게 하루의 삶과 사람에 대해 다시 생각할 수 있는 시간을 주시고, 모든 시간과 과정이 결국 배려에서 비롯된다는 것을 보여주신 노순천 작가님께 깊이 감사드립니다. 함께 해왔던 재미난 비밀편지를 펼쳐보일 수 있어서 영광이었습니다.
그리고 83세의 저희 할머니께서 “재밌다”고 말씀하시며 전시장을 몇 번이나 천천히 걸어 다닐 수 있었던 시간을 허락해 준, 2026년 1월에도 감사의 마음을 남깁니다.
전시를 찾아와 작품 앞에 머물러 주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 여러분의 고요한 시선과 머묾 속에서, 이 공간은 잠시 열려 있었습니다.
이 전시는, 여러분을 통해 조용히 존재할 수 있었습니다.

Opening this exhibition during the coldest days of winter in Korea, I hesitated to invite people directly. The weather was severe, and I worried it might feel like a burden. Still, quietly, I hoped that those close to me would come and spend time with the exhibition that the artist and I prepared with care.
To everyone who came, I am sincerely grateful. I wished I could thank each of you in person, share a meal or a cup of coffee, and sit a little longer together. But on the day of Ipchun, the beginning of spring, a day that felt slightly warmer than the rest, I returned to the UK, and everything passed more quickly than I had expected. I will write slowly, in time. There was a period in my life when I was hurt by people. Even so, I still want to believe in people, and I do. This exhibition began from a simple wish: to look together at the many faces of being human, and to say that even if we come from different places, we can stand quietly alongside one another, share something of our inner worlds, and form a gentle, almost unspoken solidarity. It was not complete, but it was prepared with sincerity.
This exhibition also became a time for remembering faces, those who were physically present, and those who stayed beside me through words and through thought. Above all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the artist Sooncheon No, who gave me the space to think again about daily life and about people, and who showed me that every process and every moment begins in consideration and care. It was an honour to unfold the small, playful secret letters we had shared.
And finally, I remain grateful to January 2026 for allowing my eighty-three-year-old grandmother to walk slowly through the exhibition several times, simply saying that it was enjoyable.To everyone who stood before the works and stayed for a while, thank you. In your stillness and attention, the space was briefly held open. The exhibition was able to exist quietly through you.
페라리 최초이자 마지막인 불투명 로고와 친환경 자동차로 차후 변경 계획이라 최후가 될 듯한 빨간 가스통, 한국 전통 음악 악보에서 영감 받은 상판 브레이크조차도 별도로 디자인이 된, 전반적인 은은한 청색으로 덮인 실외 커버와 실내 라이트로 한국만의 전통을 이끌어낸 페라리의 전시- 무엇보다 빛났던 한국 작가님들 그리고 역시나 엄청난 팬심인 @coolhunting 의 디렉팅 , nice to see you guys 🕺🏻💙
