North XR is the story of one twenty-four hours in the hyperbolized environment of the North of Moscow of the near future. The album acts as a guide to the fictional city - from the jaunty and daring first impressions in the form of reimagined club anthems of the 2010s and high-speed happy rave motifs, to the roaring and subcortical synthesizer parts and heavy, club rhythms of jersey, gqom and drill by the end of the journey, after the encounter with a hard and unforgivable reality.

The album examines the whole process and the chaotic nature of this fusion under the lens of a microscope - an abundance of broken rhythms, sweeping industrial soundscapes, frantic micro-rhythms, ruthless drilling by percussion sections: everything comes together and just as quickly falls apart, keeping the heartbeat of this fusion in rhythm. Featuring collaborations and remixes by DIGITONICA, Nphonix, DJ Warka and Mente3000 with Sajo Bkule from Infinito Audio Network.

Taking African gqom motifs, DEAD XICE and DIGITONICA have built on it with their own vision of the genre, starting with moderate rhythmic patterns, playing with broad soundscapes and sci-fi sound design, and ramping up to heavy, aggressive percussion parts that fill the cramped space of dark club rooms.
