Reflecting on a night of mindful connection and quiet beauty. ✨⁠ ⁠ @naumihotelaucklandairport celebrated Earth Hour on 28th March 2026 at @restaurantlunar.nz with a candlelight dinner dedicated to the planet. The night featured a collaborative menu by Chef Royce Bold and Chef Rodney Gomes, putting a unique spotlight on sustainable dining.⁠ ⁠ Thank you to everyone who joined us to support @waitakerearts and @rescuedkitchen . It was a great opportunity to celebrate local art and conscious flavours with the community.

Earlier this week I had the privilege of attending the Guest Chef Community Dinner with @everybodyeatsnz and I’m still in love! 🥰 ✨ My dear friend Royce Bold, from @rescuedkitchen was the guest chef for this one special evening, and watching him transform rescued, donated ingredients into something that was SUPER delicious, refined and full of love… it was magic. What makes this initiative so powerful is the model itself. Beautiful meals created from food that would have otherwise gone to waste. This restaurant is run by volunteers. A pay-what-you-can system so everyone can sit at the same table and treated with respect. I just can’t get enough of this kaupapa! This is exactly why Second Helping exists. Because when we shift how we see surplus, we create connection, reduce waste and remind people they belong. As humans we are supposed to connect, now why not let this be over good food. Win your way into the Meatball Festival. The Meatball Festival is back, and so are we. We’re heading back to the Hawke’s Bay Meatball Festival with a new dish for this year’s event. An Ovation lamb merguez meatball, served on slow-cooked pepper & tomato pepperonata and finished with potato espuma. The pepperonata is made using rescued capsicum and tomato pulp, in collaboration with Rescued Food — turning surplus produce into something worth lining up for.
