Whilst spring may have sprung it is the appearance of broad beans and peas that really brings spring to the Orto. Celebrated the first pick of fave (broad beans) with some pecorino, salt and a bottle of our 26 Rosato mid morning. With the best garden team in the land. Salute!!
Loved @pelegrini_sibenik in Šibenik, Croatia all the way down to the bone china. An elevated menu showcasing Croatian produce with finesse and chutzpah! Some incredible snacks, mains and desserts (first pic, a local cheese skorup torta) accompanied by an eclectic wine list touching on some of Croatia’s and the Dalmatian coast’s many indigenous grapes and beyond.

📍 Sala Argento, Vinitaly
Early this morning in the vineyards; the new vines some on their second year some in their first are withstanding the summer heat, so far. Thanks to sporadic rains we have been able to work without irrigation.
We are counting down the days until harvest from the older vines. It’s looking like 19 or so days, weather permitting until we harvest our third vintage of the ‘Stesso Stesso’ field blend.
If things stay on track we are hoping to release a little Rosè to join the family!
Our first whites will be in 2026 and the vines are thriving. For now we wait and weather determines the final rhythm for the soon to be 2025 wines!
