It is with sadness that I write this, but after many talks with family, friends and my brother in Lebanon and head at @human_association I have decided to re book my flight to Beirut on the 8th.
We held out on making the decision until the 1st and I personally have been deliberating since, not wanting to cancel and let people down.
We booked the flight maybe a week prior to the criminal invasion and bombing of Lebanon by the Zionist forces and hoped there would have been a ceasefire announcement.
However there unfortunately hasn’t been and my family are worried about the potential consequences of me going/being able to get back out etc.
I still plan on rebooking and getting the last of the money out to the Human association and the camps they are still working in, despite constant bombing, threat and criminal violence. We are monitoring the situation continuously and I’m personally in regular contact with Hadi.
Please keep Lebanon and Palestine in your thoughts and prayers.
