Big news in Sonoma County 🌱
Our new organics transfer station at the Sonoma County Central Landfill is officially open, serving more than 185,000 homes and 50,000 businesses across the area.
Processing approximately 20 tons of organic material per hour, the facility helps convert commercial food waste into renewable energy — keeping organic material out of the landfill and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As part of our national network of 28 organics facilities, this project is another step forward in delivering real environmental impact for the communities we serve.
