I’m urging my constituents: if you or a loved one are ever detained by ICE, having a completed authorization form allows my office to step in quickly and help. Fill out your form today and keep it stored safely at home. I want to make sure your rights are protected. 🔗: https://torres.house.gov/imo/media/doc/casework_privacy_authorization_form.pdf

To our immigrant communities in California: I see your pain, your fear, and the incredibly harsh realities you’re enduring. It’s a difficult fight, but remember your strength. Let’s stand together, peacefully and calmly, and continue to speak out against injustice. Your resilience inspires us all. #DignityAndRespect #ImmigrantVoices #CommunityStrong

This National Police Week, I was honored to welcome the San Bernardino County Police Department and Ontario Police Department. Their work keeps our communities safe every day. I’m grateful for their service, sacrifice, and continued commitment to protecting our communities.

Proud to join the bipartisan U.S.-Mexico Caucus to strengthen cooperation between the United States and Mexico. From trade and security to economic opportunity, this partnership impacts millions every day. At a time of growing tensions, we must build bridges, not barriers.

During National Police Week, we honor the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities. We remember Timothy Corlew, Hector Cuevas Jr., and Andrew Nunez and all 363 officers killed in the line of duty this year. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

It is an affront to the American families who have lost loved ones to the drug crisis. While our communities struggle, federal agencies under the Trump administration utilized taxpayer funds to provide a convicted narco-trafficker with a specialized tactical escort to a luxury hotel. My amendment is simple: No more preferential treatment for traffickers. No more luxury stays. No more shielding criminals from justice.

California pays the bills, funds the agencies, and subsidizes the country. But when it’s our turn, when 7 out of 10 fire survivors still can’t go home, suddenly the checkbook is closed? We sent $275 billion more than we got back last year. California is tired of funding this government only to be abandoned when we’re the ones on fire.

It was great to see NASA astronaut Victor Glover at the Capitol today. Always proud to celebrate someone from Pomona reach the highest levels and represent our communities in such an incredible way. His journey with the #Artemis program continues to inspire so many young people back home.
