This week I secured $2.8 million for the Corona Police Department’s Real Time Information Center to improve public safety in my hometown of Corona. As a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, I actively work with local leaders to find federal funding opportunities that bring your tax dollars back to our community.
It's great to welcome members of the Corona Police Officers Association here in Washington, D.C. during National Police Week. I'm incredibly thankful for my hometown law enforcement heroes in Corona.
As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, I held a budget oversight hearing today with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine. In my opening remarks I thanked our service members and reiterated my belief in the power of deterrence, but deterrence must be credible, and credibility must be funded.
Happy Mother’s Day! Mom’s work tirelessly everyday to support their families. My mom incredibly found time to raise three kids, help our family business, and give back to the Corona community through various organizations. I don’t know how moms do it, but we are tremendously grateful they do!
Thanks, @JenniferHornRadio , for being a patriot who wants to see fireworks light up the sky to celebrate America 250 on July 4th! My Fireworks for Freedom Act will stop liberal lunatics in Sacramento from ruining Independence Day by canceling fireworks shows.
Earlier this year, radical regulators appointed by Gavin Newsom canceled a fireworks show in Southern California because of so-called environmental impacts. I just introduced the Fireworks for Freedom Act to ensure every community across America can celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary with firework displays if they so choose. Americans celebrate Independence Day by eating hot dogs, apple pie, and watching fireworks – and I’m not going to let left-wing lunatics stop that. As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we should be planning bigger and better fireworks shows, not canceling them.
The 4th of July is a day to celebrate our liberties and freedom. Once again, those liberties are under attack in California. I can’t think of a better way to renew our commitment to freedom than by having Congress pass the Fireworks for Freedom Act to ensure Americans can enjoy America 250 with a bang!
Last Friday, U.S. National Guard Chief Gen. Steve Nordhaus testified before my Defense Appropriations Subcommittee that the increased funding we've provided for the Guard's Counterdrug Program is saving lives. He said: "Every dollar you give the National Guard, you're getting huge bang for your buck."
One of my top priorities as Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee is working with President Trump to keep deadly drugs, like fentanyl, out of our communities. That's why I've provided significant funding for the National Guard's Counterdrug Program. At today's hearing, I asked Guard Chief Gen. Steven Nordhaus about the impact those resources are making to save lives.
I met with Gen. Steven Nordhaus, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, to discuss the important role our Guard plays. As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, I have provided the Guard’s Counterdrug Program record-high levels of funding to keep deadly drugs, like fentanyl, out of our communities.
I joined President Trump to cut the taxes of California working families and allow the average taxpayer in our state to keep an average of $4,296 more of the money they earn.
Helping my constituents, like William, navigate the often daunting task of receiving the federal benefits they and their family are entitled to is one of my top priorities. The Quali Valley Septic-to-Sewer Project helps protect public and environmental health for communities in Menifee, Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore. I secured $5 million in federal funding for the project in FY26, bringing the total amount I’ve secured up to $10 million. Today, @easternmuni broke ground on a critical component of the project demonstrating the incredible progress we are making.
