Our 41 emergency physicians and our community deserve better. Lives quite literally depend on the integrity of Southwest Oregon’s emergency care.
I expect a quick response from PeaceHealth’s President, Sarah Ness, to my letter demanding that they reconsider their decision to allow a corporate takeover from Georgia.
Thanks for having me @machinistsunion !

This year’s conference comes at a time when unions are under attack. But as union members we’ve seen this old, tired playbook before. And we know how to fight back and WIN. #unionstrong
Tomorrow, the House votes on Military Construction and Veterans' Affairs funding for 2027. When I requested $600 million for the Veterans’ State Home Grant, the Appropriations Committee came back with an insultingly low number for our nation's veterans.
We should be united in ensuring the veterans who put their lives at risk to protect and serve our country get the benefits they earned and deserve.
We’re in a wildfire crisis much more severe than in the 1990s. We shouldn't be relying on analysis from way back then to decide how many permanent firefighters we need today.
Looking forward to continuing this conversation @secretaryburgum
There is a lot of misinformation on where I stand on AI. Let me be clear: I am pro-worker and pro-consumer. If we are not at the table, we are on the menu.
Thank you to our awesome Spring interns, Emaan and Samara, for all your hard work serving Oregon’s 4th Congressional District this semester.
We’re so excited to see all the amazing things you do next, and we’ll be cheering you on!
Eugene and Springfield are a model of a successful multimodal transportation network, and the Shared Micromobility Investment Act will help more cities expand bikeshare into more neighborhoods, create more jobs and give residents an affordable and accessible way to get around.
It was great meeting with so many Oregonians at yesterday’s town hall with @ronwyden . I hear your concerns and will continue to fight for you during these uncertain times.
If you couldn’t make it, I’ll be holding future events and my offices are always open for you in the meantime.
Snowpack levels are low this year and the risk of a severe wildfire season is high.
Yesterday, @ronwyden and I met with local forestry officials to hear updates on wildfire readiness, conditions across the state and how Oregonians can stay safe this summer.
Congratulations to Eugene Emergency Physicians on their renewed contract!
This is great for our community, great for our healthcare delivery system and shows that when the community comes together, we can win.
Yesterday was a big day for bike share here locally, and nationally.
We were honored to be joined by US Congresswoman Val Hoyle, Eugene Mayor Kaarin Knudson, and LTD Board President Susan Cox as Representative Hoyle announced federal legislation that would improve funding access for shared micromobility programs like ours. This is big, not just for Eugene & Springfield, but for cities across the country.
As we kick off Bike Month and gas prices keep climbing, moments like this remind us why we do what we do. More people on bikes. More affordable, healthy transportation options. And a future with even more service through our growing partnership with LTD.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and everyone who rides. đź’š
