Artist in the Bush . Almost every day a new study from my place of confinement here in Zimbabwe . Yesterday , a kudu in Hwange NP came out of the brush !
Every day I work outside of my cottage (picture one) under a beautiful deep blue African skye . In the evening there was this full moon , milk moon someone calls it here but it got hidden by cotton clouds as if of real cotton (Cumulus Altus).

“The Day Dawning over the Save River”
A series of ten paintings ,122x200cm, chromatic studies of the lights at dawn st this place on the borders of the Save River , Zimbabwe, where I spent time for the Artist in the Bush project .

Last Saturday’s concert within the exhibitions of “ African Landscapes “ and “Ideal Artist House “ was wonderful. With lots of energy, curiosity it was one of those concerts that everyone cheered up .

Artist in the Bush, the starting point for my project in Zimbabwe was this lodge . It was also my home during the first lockdown of the pandemics. Ironically it was run by the owners, a Dutch couple . #artistinthebush #renslipsiusstudio #Zimbabwe #natureconservation

Lors de ses séjours au Zimbabwe et au Kenya, Rens a emmené son équipement photographique en même temps que ses outils de peinture. À Bumi Hills, au Zimbabwe, il a installé un studio à la lumière du jour et a fait le portrait des membres du campement avec son appareil photo moyen format, un Hasselblad, entamant ainsi un cycle de photographie de paysages qu'il a poursuivi au cours de ses voyages suivants, du Zimbabwe au Kenya. Alors qu'en ce qui concerne le continent africain la photographie est principalement axée sur les animaux, Rens choisit de se concentrer spécifiquement sur les paysages, bien que les animaux en fassent parfois partie.
Le vernissage de cette exposition est prévu le samedi 25 avril entre 15h et 19h.
