Hey loves, as some of you may already know, my name is Renato, also known as #RenatoMUA 🫶🏼
I was born on the island of São Miguel, Azores, Portugal 🇵🇹 & moved to MA, USA with my mother and sister when I was 9 years old. Now, at 31 (yes, I said it! 😅). Living my dream as a professional Makeup Artist.
I started experimenting with makeup at age 16, borrowing my mom and sister’s makeup & practicing for hours. By 18, I knew makeup was my future, not just a passion.
Fast forward 13 years, and I’m a proud self-taught artist who’s still learning, growing, & evolving every day. YouTube was my first teacher, opening up a whole new world of beauty in the 2010s, and it sparked a fire that I’ve carried ever since. From watching tutorials to creating my own techniques, it’s been a journey of trial, error, & dedication & I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m constantly amazed by how much I’ve learned & how far I’ve come, but I have a feeling that I’m just getting started.
This year, my goal is to create more beautiful & creative content, while continuing to grow & connect with more beautiful & talented people. Another goal is to find the perfect space to call home, somewhere I can service all my clients & elevate their experience. Through it all, I remain dedicated to learning, growing, & perfecting my craft every step of the way.
If there’s one thing my clients will tell you, it’s that makeup isn’t just a job for me… it’s where I feel the happiest and most like myself. It’s an art, a passion, & a connection that goes beyond just the glam. Every face I work on is a unique story, & I’m so grateful for the trust my clients place in me to help them feel confident and beautiful.
