Over a year ago I designed my ultimate cup.
I named it the Body of Clay cup. It’s shaped by hand from a large block of clay - without a specific shape in mind, yet with the intention to connect with the material, and let the shape emerge intuitively through a caring and curious embrace, reflecting the nature of clay and its’ relationship to our touch.
We often forget where our every day objects come from and it was important for me to create something that tells that story and reveals that in clay - the material I’ve bonded with since I was 6 years old.
I decided to partly glaze them with a transparent glaze (except for the Black Matte version) to reveal the clays real color and texture.
The cup curves reveal the natural texture becoming an evocative and sculptural piece.
The original clay form was cast in plaster, that can cast limited copies of this design. My intention was to create a single-part mold to avoid seam lines for an uninterrupted experience.
As molds deteriorate with time, I’m soon approaching its last casts, so if you want to become the owner of this cups original casts, do write me a message 💫
Seeing people connect with this design has been a magical journey, so please do share your thoughts with me - or let me know - which is your favorite colorway?
🤍, 🤎 or 🖤?
Love,
Renate

This summer I decided to join a Paper workshop hosted by @ateliercph with my friend @katharinapaulina during the @3daysofdesign in June.
I didn’t expect to have as much fun as I did, and was surprised to see that I happened to create not just one, but two poster designs. The goal was to make just one well-done poster, but sometimes magic happens from scraps, which Mandy helped me notice.
I have been looking for the right frame for my design (which I wish I had bought on the spot, as @ateliercph had a selection of reasonably priced ones) as mine has a raised relief, but after 4 months I figured it was time to hang it - will just dust it every now and then 😅
Looking forward to finish assembling the second one soon too, and give it a home in our space. 🥹 It means so much to have artwork you’ve made yourself, and joining a workshop like this is a great way to facilitate creation & ideation.
I certainly would like to do more things like this 🙏

BITS & MOMENTS from the group pop-up shop & exhibition “DISCOVER NEWNESS” hosted by @sicels_studio and @edyth_scyn that took place between 18.-20.October in the heart of Copenhagen where VĒRMANE got to show her first pieces from her debute “REST” collection.
My most sincere & heartfelt THANK YOU goes to everyone who both showed up & tried to come by! Given the short notice, I knew I took a risk, yet the support & love that emerged truly surprised me - A THOUSAND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT & PRESENCE 🙏
My original intention was to launch VĒRMANE on my birthday next year in April. However the build up of the creative energy was stronger than my plans, so when I received the invitation to join the pop-up from @katharinapaulina of @edyth_scyn - I saw it as an opportunity to take the plunge and show up authentically embodying my journey of emerging as a body & heart led multidisciplinary creator.
MANY THANKS TO @rawculturekombucha who supported us with their refreshing & delicious drinks, so that art & design lovers can remain healthy & centered while enjoying culture 🤍💚 (pun intended 🤭)
SEE YOU AROUND SOON!

Finally, you are here,
I have waited for you so much.
I was silent all this time,
Thinking that the battle between my mind and my heart would fall asleep.
You are part of me and I of you.
We are two parallel realities in one.
The mind always separates us, but the force of the air brings us back together again.
Finally, you are here.....
I waited for you so much....

I discovered @typologyparis after noticing the products in several aesthetic photos on Pinterest. I didn’t think much of the brand at first because aesthetics is not everything, but after a while I gave in and checked out their website.

As someone with eczema prone skin, I’ve tried MAAAANY products, and there’s not much I can use unfortunately… but their standards hit every concern I had. I’ve now tried several of their products, and not all of them have been a fit for me, but the ones that have - I’m subscribing for life. Their Jujube shampoo helped restore the health of my scalp and hair (I used to struggle with eczema and even bleeding). Now I’m hardly noticing any issues. When they went out of stock I panicked for two months and wrote to their CS every week to stop this cruelty and restock ASAP 😅 *sorry, not sorry*
These two products - Botanical blend with nopal & Shea Butter + Hyaluronic acid moisturizer, have helped me regain softness in my skin from the harsh and drying effects of clay and keep my skincare routine minimal 🥹 true gem of a brand.
These 3 products are a staple in my self care now, so when the light hit my firing stones just right, I felt they deserved a bit of love from me on my feed 🖤🙏

In this post I’m sharing the insights of my lived experience as someone who grew up with a narcissist and unknowingly found myself further submitting to the power of narcissism in other structures - friendships, culture etc. I’m sharing this, because it’s become apparent to me how it’s no longer an individual issue, but a societal problem, that needs to be addressed. Coping mechanisms of narcissism are those of twisted power.
Awareness of the mechanisms of manipulation, coercion help us take this power away. I truly hope you find this post useful 💗
If you want to learn more on how to spot narcissistic traits, I sincerely recommend reading @robertgreeneofficial books on 48 Laws of Power, or Seduction.

The last 3 months I have been integrating my latest breakthrough. It is a bit difficult for me to describe it in a few sentences due to the volume of it all. Still - I think it is very important to begin to peel the onion. 🧅
Narcissistic abuse is a very complex form of trauma. It initiates the complete shattering and abandonment of self and the vanishing of any sense of security. A world painted by a narcissist is dominated by fear and control. It is unsafe, insecure, manipulative and full of shame. A narcissist came into my life at an early age 8, and it was at the age of 12 that my true self could no longer outsmart the abuse, and separated from me in order to survive. 🕊️
I am very lucky that in my early childhood I received nourishing parenting, that established a very healthy and strong core in me - it led me to always seek ways to shed this programming. Yet - the program was strong, and seemingly so rational, that it did take 20 years to figure it out and to wrap up for me what really is narcissism and how to raise above it.
The narcissistic control patterns can arise not only in ones childhood home, I have felt it in friendships, systems of power, culture, and more. You have to be aware, and very secure, to not give in and let go of the keys to defining your identity.
20 years of outsmarting narcissism - I stand here now, finally validating my lived experience.
A narcissist makes you question everything about you and it has been nothing short of a demanding battle, both intellectually, spiritually, mentally and physically, to resist it and allow myself to expand above in to the unknown waters of letting go.
Now, as I integrate it all and the return of self, I also want to share bits of insights of my lived experiences of some red flags of Narcissism. Hopefully, you can feel validated as you read them through, reaffirm it to yourself that these behaviours are not okay, and stand up to them when you encounter them.
See my next post for insights in friend & partner dynamics as well as places of commune (work, education, culture)
