Itâs official: Yesterday, Rena Marie Guidry taught her last Rhythm & Motion class in the Bay (for now) and while weâre trying to play it cool, weâre all really going to miss her. đ„č
Since 2011, Rena has been a steady presence with Rhythm & Motion at both ODC and Berkeley Ballet. Merging the expansive energy of an artist with the grounded presence of a leader and the empathy of a nurturer, she is a generous teacher and a true force for uplifting people and building community wherever she goes.
Now sheâs off to Portugal to start a whole new chapter. We couldnât be more excited for herâŠand weâre holding the door open for a little R&M magic to follow her there. đ

Leaving my beloved dance family behind is bittersweet, but my heart overflows with gratitude for every step, every class, and every shared moment that has shaped me.
Now, my family and I are embracing a new chapter in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal.
Iâm filled with excitement to build new connections and bring the vibrant spirit of Rhythm & Motion to this amazing city.
