I had the opportunity to shoot this mini piece for newly opened @ren_brooklyn in Williamsburg a few weeks ago as part of the @minnmaxshow doc lightning challenge. It was an incredible experience talking with @jaynehehe and seeing how some of their signature dishes are prepared. It was a really nice reminder to myself to work on some personal projects and stretch my creative limits. Plus, I got to eat some delicious food.

I think my fav thing about Williamsburg’s Chinese restaurants is the vibes. This definitely nailed it, and they also have ACTUAL spicy food.. If you bite into the peppercorn in the Hunan pork - good luck.
I’m also a huge fan of Asian-inspired cocktails that are lighter and more fragrant. Ren definitely nailed this one. Altho the cocktail menu is small, I’ve already tried 2 out of 3, and loved both.
I thought the 辣子鸡 can have less batter but the spice and numbness was def there.
