Hey, I’m Joey. The one behind these flower creations you see all over your feed. THANK YOU for being here! 🌸🦂 I have been “playing” with flowers since my junior year of high school. I worked my a$$ off for 7 years in a flower shop. I remember my first day so clearly. My boss had me scrubbing buckets for HOURS, cleaning her very dirty delivery van & going through moldy flowers & learning every single flower name along with what every flower needs to properly live. (Which too many florists have NO idea what some flowers need to survive.) That was the dirtiest first day of a job & to be honest, I’m grateful for it. All while making $7.25 & being grateful to even have the chance to have the job. Floristry is not pretty & there is so much more that goes into this craft other than putting flowers together. The knowledge of flowers, designing, colors, pricing.. ETC. March 2020 pandemic happens, I loose my job & now I feel like my life is falling apart. I don’t know how to do anything else besides work with flowers all day.. April 1st, 2020 I announce I am starting Remington’s Flowers & Co. 6 years later, I have created over 600 weddings myself along with every milestone in between. Not to mention the relationships I have gained. Before 2020, I never realized how controlled I was. I had to create arrangements by the book.. literally. With not so pretty & the cheapest flowers.. again, something I am SO grateful I had to do for so long. I never had options, I had to keep my creativeness to a minimum & A LOT of arrangements had to be redone because it didn’t look like the picture or have the right stem count. I started my own business & realized… not realizing, I can do WHATEVER I want!? So that’s what I did & now I’m just showing you what I can do & that they’re not just flowers & the possibilities with my brain are ENDLESS.
