Today’s painting is a repaint of a 3D assignment I did for Azusa Tojo’s Sketching in #blender . The course was super helpful for finding compositions and building up atmospheres for stylistic choices, skills I’m still practicing even the course ended more than a year ago. In the old version I was struggling to paint over 3D surfaces, using #heavypaint in my process has helped me find 2D textures and accelerate the lighting of this scene. I also did a lot more real-life reference research to understand what I was really looking for in this painting. #pleinairpril
