The world is a bleak place full of love that we should not stop fighting for...
"Threads is a terrifying 1984 British television film that depicts the devastating effects of a nuclear war on the city of Sheffield, England, following a fictional conflict between the US and the Soviet Union. It follows young couple Ruth and Jimmy as their lives unravel amidst the chaos, fallout, and societal collapse, becoming a stark and realistic drama-documentary that remains influential and haunting. The film was commissioned by the BBC during the Cold War and is known for its bleak, realistic portrayal of nuclear apocalypse."
