At the inaugural NMACC dinner in Venice, Ms. Isha Ambani paid tribute to her mother, Mrs. Nita Ambani — a classical Indian dancer, teacher, and educator, whose vision led to the founding of NMACC as she returned to her deepest roots.
Speaking to a gathering of artists and cultural leaders from around the world, she expressed gratitude for their presence and for the shared spirit that brought the India Pavilion to life at the 61st Venice Biennale.
An evening that celebrated art, honoured friendship, and continued a conversation on culture that has only just begun.

Isha Ambani was joined by her mother Mrs. Nita Ambani, to host the inaugural NMACC dinner, on the occasion of the opening of the India Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
Set within the historic Scuola Grande della Misericordia, the evening brought together leading voices from the global art, culture and fashion world. What began as a celebration of the India Pavilion unfolded into a memorable conversation between cultures — bridging heritage and contemporary expression of the past and present.
It was a heartfelt tribute to the artists, the Indian craftsmanship and to the audiences who keep creativity alive.
A vision long held by Mrs. Nita Ambani, that India’s creative expressions have to be spotlighted on the world’s greatest stages — felt beautifully and fully alive that evening.
Ms. Isha Ambani reflects on India’s evolving cultural dialogue with the world at the opening of the National Pavilion of India at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
Representing the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, she acknowledged her mother Mrs. Nita Ambani’s vision and passion, whose enduring commitment to the arts continues to shape NMACC’s mission of taking the best of India to the world and bringing the best of the world to India.
Speaking about India as “an idea of home,” she shared her hope for “a long conversation between India and Venice, one that our ancestors would be proud of and our children will inherit.”
Progress takes many forms. Joy runs even deeper. And family, in its truest sense, looks like all of them together. Happy International Day of Families.

From Running the Race to Shaping Champions.
“Sport has shaped my life for as long as I can remember.🏃♂️
I started athletics at the age of 9 after being inspired by my best friend, who was part of a local athletics club. What began as school-day sprinting eventually took me to the Commonwealth Games, European Championships, and several international competitions representing my country.
But over time, I realised my biggest purpose wasn’t just competing — it was helping others grow.
From becoming a professional coach to training athletes who went on to win medals at the Olympics, Asian Championships, European Championships, and World Junior Championships, coaching has given me the greatest joy. I’ve also had the opportunity to work closely with athletes like Jyothi Yarraji and Amlan.
Joining Reliance Foundation in 2019 became a very meaningful chapter in my journey.
One of my first projects here was helping build a high-performance athletics programme in Odisha focused on sprints and hurdles. Over the years, many young athletes from these programmes have gone on to break records across events like the 100m, 200m, and hurdles.
What I enjoy the most is working closely with young athletes from the grassroots level, helping them unlock their potential and grow with confidence.
At Reliance Foundation, I’ve had the opportunity to not only grow as a coach, but also contribute meaningfully towards building the future of Indian athletics. The scale of impact, the long-term vision, and the belief in nurturing talent make this journey truly fulfilling for me.”
