Like the surface of the sphere touching both inner and outer worlds, within it we explore ourselves while connecting with others. When it’s over, everything will disappear. X-tra excited to welcome audiovisual artist, sound designer, producer, and DJ — all in one gifted human being — @mudaki_sound to our podcast series. ⚡️ Take some time to read her words about rhythm and sound, and about the process behind putting this mix together. (direcr link to the mix is in bio) “Every genre has something of its own to offer. Rhythms belonging to jungle, dubstep, or tribe carry a certain code within them - something that opens up something different in each of us, yet gives us the same starting point. Sometimes it feels to me that in order to feel like myself, I need to hear the music I love - music through which I can discover my own micro-rhythms, all those internalized temporalities that I am made of. This mutual connection through movement and dance is often one of the best experiences I can have in my life: opening myself to the world through programmed rhythms, while at the same time feeling vividly alive. And finding other wicked souls who simply resonate on the same frequency. That’s the power of it - communicating the unspeakable. As for the direction of mental tribe itself, for me it represents a kind of temporary space where I can look into the darker corners of my past experiences and shadow qualities. A chance to face them for a moment and accept that part of myself as well. It feels like a cleansing - a mental struggle for purity, rawness, and authenticity. It is definitely not an escape from reality; quite the opposite. It is a search for a way to accept reality, and to learn how to live with it.”

We shared skills and brought vision to the final form.
