Hi! Iām Vanshika, a photographer who became restless with the surface of things and began to crave a deeper communion with the image - not as a digital file or a flat print, but as a physical presence that could hold a room.
This is when I found a contemporary practice where I do not ātakeā a photograph of the sun but prepare a base for it to imprint itself on through textures from grit, mineral paste, raw fibre, organic reagents and chemistry. I call it āThe Cyanotype Reliefā.
Presenting
MONOLITH 1:36 | SOL
A cyanotype relief created on canvas where I donāt ātakeā a photo of the sun but create a base for it to imprint itself on through chemistry, textures and shadows. Here the intensity of the day, the humidity of the hour, and the minerals of the base dictate the final soul of the piece and create a physical record of the skyās behaviour at a precise coordination in time, making each piece one of its kind.

re:frame was a huge success and weāre absolutely overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by the response we got!
Hereās a little glimpse of how we created the space to help you discover photography from a whole new lens and allow you to think of the art form as something beyond the norms. We hope we were able to, in some way, teach a thing or two and add to your learning of creativity.
Thank you to each one who take out the time to experience photography not just done differently but lived differently; and a huge thank you to every single individual who helped bring this vision to life š„
